Tenderfoot is generally used as a slang term for an inexperienced person, but it can also be used to describe someone who is new at the practice of walking and jogging barefoot (also called earthing), which is a relatively new health trend said to reduce stress, increase energy and be more in tune with a person’s natural gait than the pattern of body movement created by the use of athletic shoes and sneakers.
