Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics (sometimes spelled orthopedics) is a branch of medicine concerned with impairments and deformities of the musculoskeletal system, which consists of the bones, ligaments, joints, tendons, muscles and nerves. Examples of orthopedic surgeries for the feet include arthoplasty for the repair of joint deformities, arthoscopy of the foot and ankle for problems linked to arthritis, and surgery to fix bone fractures.
